INDY WOMEN IN TECH HELPS WOMEN ENTERING, RE-ENTERING OR TRANSITIONING THEIR CAREERS INTO TECH AND STEM ROLES. MANY WOMEN IN THESE CATEGORIES ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND A TRADITIONAL COLLEGE SETTING AND WILL NEED A TYPE OF CERTIFICATION TO PRESENT TO POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS. INDY WOMEN IN TECH HAS PARTNERED WITH MULTIPLE ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE THESE WOMEN THE REQUIRED TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND MENTORING TO PURSUE A CAREER IN STEM.
IvyWorks is a program at Ivy Tech Community College that’s designed to give adult learners the support they need to earn industry-backed credentials and build a career in Indiana’s fastest-growing fields, including Information Technology. Our program is designed to meet the needs of adult learners balancing school, work and family obligations. IvyWorks provides strategic professional development, business networking and wraparound support, so that participants can earn their degree and excel in their career.
Ivy Tech Community College offers a variety of programs in high demand fields, which were designed with input from industry leaders. IvyWorks in partnership with Indy Women in Tech Program will offer courses in the following areas: Web Development, IT Support, Software Development, Workforce Preparation, Microsoft Office Specialist, & Business Operations, Applications, and Technology (BOAT).
Eleven Fifty Academy is a non-profit 501(c)(3) technology academy that offers an immersive learning experience designed for new coders. Headquartered in Fishers, Indiana, Eleven Fifty empowers people of all ages and backgrounds launch, change, and enhance their careers. The mission of Eleven Fifty Academy is to close the nation’s growing technology skills gap by building an ecosystem of technical talent that benefits the individual, their employer and their community.
TechPoint is the nonprofit, industry-led growth initiative for Indiana’s technology companies and overall tech ecosystem. TechPoint’s Sales Bootcamp is a six-week program for career changers and new grads designed to train and provide them a first-hand look inside the work environment at several tech companies, and help them quickly ramp up to be high-potential salespeople.
