Jody Dedon Named New Executive Director

Jody L. Dedon, CFRE has served our community in various roles throughout her personal and professional career.  As a fundraising executive, Jody has worked with notable organizations such as Leadership Indianapolis, Conner Prairie and Noble of Indiana as their Director of Development.

In each of these roles, Jody led Advancement teams to notable success by instituting systems and processes to grow, sustain and retain donors while building relationships to inspire giving and deepening donors commitment to the mission.  Jody’s caring and compassionate nature, coupled with her inner drive to deliver excellence are fueled by her personal mission to make a difference in the lives of others.

Jody currently serves as President of the board of Hamilton County Leadership Academy where she graduated from in 2013.  Jody was selected by her class to serve on the board as Class Representative in 2013 and then served in various positions before being selected as Vice President in 2016.

Jody serves weekly with her husband as a high school youth leader at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.  She volunteers as a college mentor and is active in mission trips and other community outreach projects with her family.  She also serves as an advisory board member for SAWS, Servants at Work, in greater Indianapolis and is a member of the Indianapolis Great Banquet community at Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.

Jody graduated Summa Cum Laude at Indiana Wesleyan University where she was voted Class President and received the Outstanding Professional Award. She earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive accreditation in 2016.  She is a graduate of Beyond Your Best leadership in 2005.

Raised by parents committed to community service, Jody believes strongly in servant leadership and the power of one to make a difference.  She is honored to lead Indy Women in Tech and to be a part of a growing organization dedicated to impacting the lives of women through STEM education.  “The chance to make a difference by supporting women in attaining their dreams for themselves and their families is inspiring.  We have the chance to make a significant difference throughout Indiana in the tech sector by raising awareness of the need for women in the tech industry and supporting them as they embark on their pursuits.  Together, we can make a difference for Indiana and the lives of its citizens.  That’s what I’m here to do.”

Jody lives in Westfield, Indiana with her husband Craig and their four boys.
